How does it work?
The Distress Alert system is a simple to operate personal alarm, designed specifically to give the independent minded reassurance that they can continue living in their own way without the anxiety that help is available when needed.
- Simple set-up and installation – connecting the base unit into an existing telephone socket
- User selected emergency numbers programmed into the unit
- User recorded distress message
- Once triggered, unit makes repeated attempts to connect to emergency numbers
- Once connection made, 2-way communication available hands free via units in-built microphone and speaker
- The remote fob can be worn as a pendant or simply carried, so it can be used anywhere around the home.
Unlike many of the other systems available on the market, which normally involve monthly management fees, the Distress Alert system is a one-off purchase. The numbers used, in the event of an emergency, all are determined by the user, meaning that family or friends are notified immediately in the event of any emergency
